Delinda Pendleton RN, MSN (Chairperson)

Delinda is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Nursing where she received both her Bachelor and Master of Science Degrees.  During graduate school she specialized in oncology and began to study the impact of culture and poverty on minority groups that were at high risk for developing certain cancers.  Since then she has spoken at numerous churches and community centers attempting to raise awareness about cancer prevention and early detection.  She has also lectured at the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Nursing (Oncology Program) about the same topic.  She has published several articles on the subject and received the American Cancer Society’s Honor Citation for developing programs that assist healthcare workers in reaching special populations with the message about cancer prevention and early detection.  She currently works at the Fox Chase Cancer Center, Philadelphia, where she functions as the Director of Quality Management, Infection Control and Patient Safety.

At the early age of seven, Delinda gave her life to the Lord.  Since that time, she has served in the church in various roles.  The Lord has placed a calling on Delinda’s heart to serve the needs of youth and women, both physically and spiritually, utilizing her spiritual gifts of teaching, administration and serving.  At her church, she actively serves as a teacher in the Next Level Discipleship Training Program and as the Overseeing Elder of the Prayer, Health, Women, Youth, and Music ministries.  On an annual basis, Delinda works as a facilitator for her church’s Youth, Women’s and Married Couples’ retreats.  She also facilitates “Pathways to Adulthood,” a Christian Rites of Passage program for the youth of her church.  She currently serves with her husband, Bishop Harry Pendleton, their two sons, daughters-in-law, and one granddaughter at the Faith & Love Center Pentecostal Church in Philadelphia.
